Our Beliefs

1.  We believe in one God, consisting of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the creator of all things, the sustainer of our lives, the giver of every good gift.
2.  We believe in Jesus Christ the Messiah, the Father’s one and only Son, our Savior and Lord.

·                     Jesus came to earth to be the sacrifice for the sins of all mankind.
·                     To provide that sacrifice, Jesus offered His own blood on the cross as He died to take away our sins and bring us into fellowship with our heavenly Father.
·                     Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, triumphant over the grave, and 50 days later ascended back to heaven where He was crowned with glory and honor.
·                     Jesus will one day return to receive those who believe in Him into eternal glory.
3.  We believe in the Holy Spirit, God’s presence in the world today and our helper, guide, and teacher.

  • The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, guides us into truth, leads us in the way we should go, and supplies us with spiritual gifts so that we can minister to one another.

4.  We believe that the Bible is God’s holy word, without error, and is our only guide to salvation, the Christian life, and doctrine.
  • The Holy Spirit guided the men who wrote the Bible in everything they wrote.
  • We accept the Bible as the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

5.  We believe that salvation; the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life come only through grace by the blood of Jesus Christ.

  • This salvation comes through in Jesus Christ, repentance of sin, and immersion into Christ.
6.  We believe that as Christians we should be united in all things where the Bible speaks clearly, that we should allow freedom in matters that the Bible does not clearly speak, and that we should show Christian love at all times.
7. We believe the mission of the church is found in two mandates given by Christ before His ascension Jesus said.
  • “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you till the very end of the age” (Matthew 28. 18-20).
  • “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1.8)
